Quick answer
Who wires boat trailers and marine lighting near Shell Cove?
Wired Right Auto Electrical and Car Audio covers Shell Cove from Albion Park Rail, about 12 minutes from the marina precinct. Boat trailer work includes full 7-pin and 12-pin rewires, sealed submersible LED conversions and fresh chassis earths at the drawbar, which is where the large majority of intermittent trailer light faults actually originate.
Shell Cove is the newest part of the Shellharbour coast and it shows in the driveways: late-model vehicles, boats on trailers, and vans parked beside the house waiting for the next long weekend. All three create their own electrical work.
Newer vehicles need accessory installs that respect the CAN network rather than splicing into it. Boat trailers need lighting and earthing that survives being reversed into salt water. And a van that only moves four times a year needs its charging system and breakaway battery checked before it moves, not after.
What we see most from Shell Cove
Salt water trailer wiring
Submersible LED lamps, sealed connectors and a dedicated chassis earth at the drawbar, which is the single most common failure point on a boat trailer.
Late-model accessory integration
Dash cams, cameras and security fitted with CAN-safe interfaces and vehicle-specific harnesses so no warning lights appear.
Pre-trip 12V checks
Charging, solar, battery health and breakaway battery tested before a van that has sat for months heads off.

View serviceShell Cove: common questions
Why do boat trailer lights fail so often?
Because the earth path runs through the coupling and the chassis, and both corrode in salt water. Running a dedicated earth wire from the lamps back to the plug, rather than relying on the chassis, fixes it permanently.
Will fitting a dash cam void the warranty on a new car?
No. Under the Australian Consumer Law a manufacturer cannot void a warranty because work was done outside a dealership; they can only decline a claim for a fault the work caused. We use fused add-a-circuit taps and never cut into factory looms.
Can you check my caravan before a trip?
Yes, a pre-trip check covering charging from the tow vehicle, solar input, battery state of charge, brake controller calibration and the breakaway battery. It is far cheaper than discovering a fault at Bulli Tops.
