How is truck and machinery auto electrical work different from car work?
Heavy vehicles commonly run 24 volt systems with two batteries in series, far longer cable runs, and accessories that draw continuously through a shift. Wired Right in Albion Park Rail works on both 12 V and 24 V, sizes cable for the run length rather than the accessory rating, and fits beacons, reverse alarms and camera systems so a truck stays compliant and available.
A ute off the road is an inconvenience. A truck, tipper or excavator off the road is a day of lost revenue and, often, a crew standing around. Commercial electrical work is judged on how quickly it goes back to work and how long the repair lasts once it does.
We work on 12 V and 24 V systems, on service bodies, tippers, plant trailers and earthmoving machinery. The failure modes are different from passenger cars: vibration-fatigued terminations, water ingress at chassis-mounted connectors, and earth straps that have carried far more current than they were specified for.
For fleets, the value is usually in consistency: the same camera system, the same UHF and the same tracker across every vehicle, so a driver moving between units does not have to relearn anything and a fault is diagnosed once for the whole fleet.

Do you work on 24 volt systems?
Yes. Trucks and much heavy machinery run 24 volts from two 12 volt batteries in series, and accessories that are only available in 12 volt are run through a properly sized converter rather than tapped across one battery, which is the fastest way to destroy a battery pair.
Can you fit out a new service body?
Yes, and it is far cheaper done before the body is loaded. Compressor wiring, work lights, inverter, charging system and internal lighting all get run in a single planned loom rather than added piecemeal over the following two years.
Why do machinery wiring faults keep coming back?
Because vibration and water are relentless. A repair that uses a crimp without adhesive-lined heatshrink, or that leaves a connector sitting where it collects water, will fail again. Sealed terminations and thoughtful routing are what make a plant repair last.
Can you standardise cameras and UHF across our fleet?
That is usually the most cost-effective approach. One hardware choice, one wiring layout and one labelling convention across every vehicle means drivers do not relearn anything and a fault diagnosed on one unit applies to all of them.
