Is it my battery or my alternator?
A battery that reads under 12.4 V after sitting overnight is either flat or failing; an alternator problem usually shows as charging voltage below about 13.8 V at idle, or a battery warning light that comes on under electrical load. The only way to separate them reliably is to test both under load, which takes a few minutes on the hoist.
My car is fine in the morning but dead after a few days. What is that?
That pattern is almost always a parasitic drain, a module, aftermarket accessory, boot light or amplifier that never goes to sleep. We measure the total draw with an amp clamp, then pull fuses one at a time to isolate which circuit is responsible.
Will an auto electrical repair void my new car warranty?
No. Under the Australian Consumer Law a manufacturer cannot void your warranty simply because work was done outside a dealership; they can only decline a claim for a fault the work actually caused. We use vehicle-specific harnesses and fuse at the source specifically so there is nothing for a dealer to point at.
Do you work on European vehicles and CAN-bus systems?
Yes. Modern European and Japanese vehicles run most accessories through modules on a CAN network, so accessory wiring has to be tapped in a way the network tolerates. We use CAN-safe interfaces and load resistors where required rather than splicing into signal wires.
How long does an electrical fault take to find?
Straightforward faults such as a failed earth or a burnt relay are usually found within the first hour. Intermittent faults, the ones that only appear over a bump or after rain, can take longer, which is why we quote diagnosis separately from the repair.
